The 5km Run and Walk are both timed by Chip Time Results

The timing chip is on the reverse side of your bib.
It does not have to be returned at the end of the race.
Race Course:
The race course is OTFA certified 5km; mostly flat, a slight downhill at the start.

FAQs
Will there be a baggage check?
Yes, we will have a baggage check located in Heritage Square near the registration area.
Am I allowed to use a baby jogger on the 5 k run or walk?
Yes. But we ask that if you are registered for the run event, that you start at the back of the field to avoid conflict with runners at the start of the race.
May I register on race day?
Yes. You may register on the day of for any event with the exception of the team run or walk, until 8:40 am.
Is there a cut –off time for the 5 k walkers?
No. But we ask that any walker’s who are still on the course after 50 minutes, respectfully move to the sidewalk on Kerr Street as the children’s run begins at 9:55am.
Will there be portable toilets?
There will be portable toilets complete with hand sanitizers at the start/finish line, including a portable unit for people with disabilities.
There will be no portable toilets on the race route.
Are there post-race festivities?
Yes. In addition to the awards ceremony, there will be fabulous draw prizes available, but you must be present to win.
Fresh fruit, bagels and water will be provided, as well as our tradition of serving you a free slice of pumpkin pie.
How does Chip Timing work?
Your timing device for the 5k run or walk is a single use bib tag.
Please make sure your race bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso.
Do not fold or wrinkle your bib.
Ensure that is pinned in all four corners, and not covered by a jacket.
What do I wear on race day?
Be sure to check the weather the morning of the race

I am entered in the race but unable to compete due to an injury or illness. Can I defer my entry to next year?
No. The race does not offer deferments or refunds.
Why didn’t I receive a registration confirmation e-mail?
It is not uncommon that confirmation e-mails get blocked, go to your SPAM folder or end up in your junk mail.
